The thing to watch now is Silver. No CB has it, so no CB can lease it. And the industrial demand has a long way to go until it becomes price-sensitive at these firesale prices. And soon *someone* will realize it's the most undervalued asset in the history of markets. If that *someone* has a few hundred mill on hand, that's it. There's a lot of such *someone*'s out there these days courtesy of Jolly Jay and his merry band of fakesters.

I would expect a disorderly resolution of the matter in a short period of time.

And Platinum. The WPIC estimate platinum stocks are tiny, most of those stocks are held by Chinese automakers and aren't coming back to the West. And the market is in deficit. Moreover there's strong need for end demand platinum. I've written about it several times over the past year. It's absolutely gagging to be cornered by a Hedge Fund.

When does the government step in like FDR did??

Expand full comment
Peter Redward's avatar

I'm not sure they will, not any time soon. It doesn't have a Gold Standard framework anymore so it could just be left to find it's own level. The other thing I like about Platinum is that it's price is basically below the AISC for about a third of global supply, miners really struggling, so there's an effective price floor at about 900/oz giving it nice a asymmetry

Don't think they will - ' DJT ' for sure isn't ' FDR ' and I think his inclinations are more toward letting the whole edifice collapse and then starting a - new , only this time with a Gold or Bi-Metallic standard ( Fingers Crossed ) .

G’day David, an out there theory I’m calling “The Lancia Job”.

Years ago on a Top Gear segment, Jeremy Clarkson told the story of an early 80’s Lancia rally car due to enter that years World Rally Championship (WRC). But Lancia had a problem in that the rally cars had to be based on production models, and the WRC defined a production model car as one that had 300 produced. Lancia had no money, and not much production. So it is rally folklore, that they produced 150 Lancia’s. they had the WRC auditors come to verify the 300 cars and pointed to a holding yard with 150 cars in it. They helpfully explained to the auditors that the yard couldn’t hold 300 cars, and the other 150 were on the other side of town. Once the first 150 were verified, the auditors were invited to lunch. And 150 Lancia employees drove the same 150 cars cross town to the other holding yard to be audited. Audit passed, Lancia wins the WRC that year! Incredible stuff.

I wonder if perhaps Londons gold is simply making a trip across the Atlantic so the Fort Knox gold can be verified and audited. Once completed, and ticked off as exisiting and audited - it’s all shipped back to London! 🤣

The tonnage of Gold that's been taken in by the US is minimal in that in real terms

and unless revalued to what most people consider unthinkable levels , then the

dollar amount covered would only pay for a couple of months ( 3 at most ) of their deficit spending .......so what;s the point ..?? . 500 - 600 x tons is a pittance when you're literally needing tens of thousands of tons to address the deficit and of course the ovcerhanging on books debt ($ 35 x Trillion ) and the upwards of some $ 200 - $ 250 x Trillion in unfunded liabilities - Which IMHO & given the

wayward givernment statistics and figures - could be many trillions more than officially quoted .

per Ukraine & Middle East - so inconsistent but may be this is concealing many other moves taking place behind the curtain ' BUT ' as regards auditing Fort Knox + all other vaulting locations + The Fed + The ESF + The Treasure ( et al ) - sooner the better.

Expand full comment
Simon Gedye's avatar

As David has noted here and many times before - get your exposure to Gold and Silver into physical metal in your own hands ( " If you don't it hold it you don't own it " ) and get out of the ETF's which essentially and in real terms only give you exposure to the paper prices .

Do they actually have the Physical they say they have - will they want to cash settle you in federal reserve notes if they haven't ( YES ...) - should you trust anything they say or do when they are effectively controlled & run by ' Black Rock ' & ' JP Morgan ' - FUCK NO ..!!

Can't put in plainer than that - inwardly digest / act on this & act soon.

Expand full comment
Simon Gedye's avatar

Great report + am of the opinion ( hopefully ) that we could be seeing massive moves into the metals ( and consequent skyward price trajectory ) due to mass diversification out of other asset category's ( especially Nasdaq / Magnivicent 7 + Bonds ) and the ever more obvious realisation that the dollar + all other Fiat currency's pegged to it are effectively ' Toast ' . - and that this

could be truly cranking up by March - April - May time . Just a thought .

Sorry folks, no real problem here. These are the To Big To Fail bullion banksters. When the PMs go "no bid" they will shout out "Force Majeure! who could have known!" , offer cash, instead of delivery. Then the fed will print paper to bail them out, just a couple of key strokes.

Pretty sure all the current accounting done by the fed is a bucket of lies and deceptions. If i had a currency printing machine in my basement, I would do whatever i could to hide when and how much was being printed and for whom, swear my friends to secrecy and key stroke trillons into existence while everyone was sleeping. Keeping two sets of books is the first thing the Mob teaches its thugs...

They have no care for the future, they know this ends in tears for the commoner. They are getting theirs while the getting is good. They will all be on their private New Zealand ranches dining on escargot when it blows up. Maybe Mr Musk will pop the feds top hatch and throw a grenade in. Then the rats will scurry away a little earlier than originally intended, leaving a few fiat dollars on the floor of the loading dock. But we are still left with the mess...

Even millions of pitchfork rioting commoners aren't going to make an impact on the current state of affairs. Commoners want as many fiat dollars as they can get, because the US dollar is REAL MONEY MAN! I'm going to Disneyland!

REMEMBER-"When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men in a society, over the course of time they create for themselves a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it."

Agree somewhat - think humanity ( very small number ) will awaken to true PM price discovery but for most it wil far too late as the train will have left the station before they can comprehend what's been done to them or how to dig themselves out of the deep , dark ' Fiat Hole ' .

Agree with you wjoleheartedly per ther " Crimex Boys " - just have to hope that a bunch of the ' White Hats ' know the assorted rat runs theyt'll be taking per their ' Get of Dodge ' game plan - and divert them into a tank of acid instead .

What you've said here is all too apparent to all of us who awoke to this seemingly perpetual scam many years ago and have been attempting to cover our arse's ever since - the shame of it is that as a percentage of humanity in the whole , we actually represent really only a pretty small number of people . ' IF ' the masses should suddenly experience a wake up call / come to Jesus moment , I'm afraid it will be far too late for them to protect themselves ....more especially I actually don't think that 70 - 80% will ever wake up even when sat in a room with a 72" TV running an endless loop with everything spelt out in the simplest of terms .

Sad but true ..??
